God’s Design for Marriage

Marriage was never man’s idea — it was God’s. From the beginning, the Lord created marriage as a holy covenant between one man and one woman, a sacred union that reflects His own faithfulness and love.
In Eden, before there was a nation, a church, or a government, there was a marriage — a picture of divine fellowship and purpose.

At Abide in Christ the True Vine, we believe that marriage is more than companionship; it is ministry. It is the visible expression of Christ’s invisible grace. When husband and wife walk together in covenant love, they reveal to the world the beauty of the gospel — “For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh… This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.” (Ephesians 5:31–32)

Our Vision for Marriage and Family Ministry

Our goal is to restore the biblical foundation of marriage and strengthen families through the transforming power of God’s Word.
We desire to see couples who not only stay together, but grow together — rooted in forgiveness, guided by grace, and empowered by the Holy Spirit.

We believe that when the family is strong, the Church is strong. When homes are governed by love, humility, and truth, the light of Christ shines into generations.

Core Teachings We Emphasize

• Covenant, Not Contract – Marriage is a divine promise, not a private agreement. God Himself stands as the witness between husband and wife (Malachi 2:14).

• Christ at the Center – Every thriving marriage has Jesus as its foundation and His Word as its guide.

• Grace in the Home – Forgiveness, patience, and kindness are not optional; they are the fruit of abiding in Christ.

• Shared Responsibility – Both husband and wife are called to serve, submit, and love in humility — reflecting Christ’s servant heart.

• Parenting in Faith – Families are entrusted with the sacred task of raising children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4).

• Healing and Restoration – No marriage is beyond redemption when Christ is invited to reign.
